About Me

Hi! My name’s Cassandra and I’m a 24 year old who owns way too much nail polish! I started doing my nails in high school as a hobby, and got better over time with practice and a lot of nail polish remover lol. As I got older, I continued to do my nails, experimenting with various techniques, colors, and designs. About three years ago, I started following a few nail blogs and began playing with the idea of starting my own nail art blog. In the summer of 2013, with the encouragement of a friend (thanks Nancy!), I finally made the decision to start my own blog!

What else should you know about me? I'm a Leo, Virgo rising. Essentially that means that I am ambitious, exciting, bold, and full of life. I love having company over and interacting with people. However, it also means that I am analytical, logical, and super organized so if you borrow my nail polish and put it back in the wrong spot, I might jump you lol. I believe in God, karma, and that the universe has a funny way of making things work out. If I am not doing my nails, I am probably wandering around a museum, watching Doctor Who rerun’s, or playing with my cat, Mylo. I am also obsessed with super hero movies, art history, tango dancing, Doctor Who, and the TV show, Arrow with Steve Arnell (those pull up things on that bar? I can’t even.).

About 7 years ago, I fell in love with a musician and we have been together ever since! I am currently dating an amazing man who is wholeheartedly supportive of my polish habit and is responsible for a quite a few of the polishes currently living in my Helmer (Click here and here to read a funny post about a nail polish bet we made). A while back, when ILNP was launching their presale of flakie polishes, I was at work and didn’t have access to a computer to order the polishes I wanted. In a moment of true love, my boyfriend grabbed his computer, ran to the closest Starbucks for internet access, and waited until the presale was launched so that he could buy me the colors I wanted. Yea, he’s pretty awesome. And yes, someone is holding a beer above my head in this photo lol.
